Claims Returned

  1. When a patron tells us that they already returned the book or they never got the book in the first place. We will start by going to into their sierra account.
  2. Then go to the checkout tab and select the item
  3. .
  4. Click on claims returned tab, then a calendar should pop up asking when was the item returned ask the patron when did they return the item. 
  5. Enter the date

  7. Click on claims returned tab, then a calendar should pop up asking when was the item returned ask the patron when they returned the item. The date must be prior to the due date otherwise the patron will incur fees.

  9. If you click “Edit” to open the patron’s full account information, you should find an two notes about claims returned items. One is in the “notes” section for each claims returned and the number of claims returneds are listed above as well. No customer should exceed 3 claims returneds. If they do, let the manager know and add a note to the patron account that they cannot have any more claims returneds.
