Door Counter Procedure

The entrance door counts will be entered on a weekly basis on Mondays.

1. Go to Teams and open the Library Desk Updates – Full team
   1. At the top, click on Files
      1. Open the Door Counts sub-folder
      2. Open the current file (ex. 2022-Spring Only.xlsx for spring semester 2022)
2. Get the iPad from the back room; it’s located between the printer and the phone.
3. Open the SMS app on the iPad; the app icon is pinned to the bottom of the screen.
   1. If it asks you to login:
      1. library@gotoltc.edu
      2. Lib160rary!
4. Tap on the LTC Library location near the top of the screen
5. Tap on Hourly Report on the bottom right of the screen
6. Tap on the red arrow next to todays’ date until you arrive at the date you will begin to record (almost always a Monday)
7. Scroll down to the dark gray table near the bottom of the iPad; the Hours will be listed at the left, and Total Traffic will be listed at the right.
8. Enter the Total Traffic numbers onto the spreadsheet for each day of the previous week.
   1. If something doesn’t look right, let Janet or Ashley know.
9. Once all days from the previous week have been entered
   1. close the spreadsheet
   2. close the SMS app on the iPad
   3. replace the iPad to its case
   4. if the iPad power is less than 30%, plug it in before putting it in the case
